The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) would like to inform the public that it recently organized a Talent Competition for secondary schools with Integrity Clubs in the Western Area.

The competition was geared towards instilling the culture of integrity and patriotism into pupils and students of the participating schools as well as reaching parents and the wider communities with messages on the fight against corruption.

The Commission was able to tap the talents of our young partners in the fight against corruption for materials to develop a comic book in line with the Commission’s effort of integrating anti-corruption issues into the curriculum.
Competitors submitted entries for five artistic areas as follows:

  • Poem
  • Song
  • Short story
  • Play
  • Drawing/painting

Participating schools included St. Helena Secondary School, Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School, Albert Academy, Vine Memorial Secondary School for Girls, Sierra Leone Grammar School and Services Secondary School.

St. Helena Secondary School emerged winner with the highest number of prizes.
