ACC EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ASSET DECLARATION FORM
The Anti-Corruption Commission has extended the deadline for the submission of Asset Declaration form from the 30th November to the 30 th January 2009 owing to the repeated request from the general public for such extension.
This is in accordance with section 119(4) of the Anti-Corruption Act 2008 which provides that the Commission may for good cause extend the time for the furnishing of declaration of assets.
Copies of the Asset Declaration forms are available at the Commission’s
Office at no. 3 Gloucester Street, Freetown . They may also be obtained from the Commission’s website www.anticorruptionsl.org in pdf and Word format and may be requested by email at Info@anticorruption.gov.sl
To date, the Commission has received quite a good number of completed Asset Declaration forms from senior public officials including His Excellency the President, Honourable Vice President and some Cabinet Ministers. It is an obligation for all public officers to declare their asset, income and liabilities and to submit the completed forms to the Commission within the stipulated time. The Commission urges all public officials to comply with the provisions of the law.
