ACC's Prevention Department to work on Records Management in Primary Schools

Its insidious effects are more far-reaching and, maybe, even more devastating than civil wars, the spread of cancer or HIV/Aids. Everyday, silently kills thousands of people, especially in a country like Sierra Leone, and will continue to blight the lives of generations yet unborn if it continues unchecked.

Poetry, Essay & Poster Competition
This competition is a new angle of approach to engage our young people, the direct inheritors of the Sierra Leone Legacy in a national dialogue. Hoping that we get the right responses, a good foundation would have been laid for further interactions to continue on a variety of issues relevant to good Governance and Reform. There is also the aspect of civic education for our young people, which the ACC is now in the process of developing.

First Anti Corruption Day
The Anti-Corruption Commission wishes to inform the public that Thursday 9th December 2004 has been officially designated as “International Anti-Corruption Day” by the United Nations to mark the anniversary of the opening to signature of the UN Anti-Corruption Convention by Member Countries of the UN. It will be recalled that the UN General Assembly from 9th – 11th December 2003 opened the Convention for signature in Merida, Mexico and thereafter at UN Headquarters in New York until 9th December 2005. Sierra Leone is already a signatory to this Convention
